Fashionista’s across the globe anxiously awaits Fashion Week and what a great way to kick off NY Fashion Week than Styles on the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum. When this Fashionista turned the corner on 48th street to 12 avenue and saw the monumental Intrepid I immediately smiled. When I entered Styles Fashion Week and saw the blue ambient light in such an intimate and personal space I was in awe.
The 4:00 pm show started with Ionica Styles, timeless classic and a repeated motif of white textural fabric is perfect attire for the sophisticated woman. Hat upon hats was seen as accessories and accented well. The proceeding designer was Jessie Zhao. Jessie Zhao has my “Fashionista Fav” award. The fluidity of her fabric was exquisite with one of a kind patterns and illustrations created by the designer. “Our design concepts are inspired by nature and culture.
